Katie O'Byrne's Irish Pub & Restaurant located in downtown Schenectady, New York, began with the birth of Katie herself in 1899. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Katie's namesake would become the inspiration for the Irish pub established by four local Irish-American men, including Katie O'Byrne's grandson – John P. Maloney. The Irish four set out to create a comfortable bar that would serve a simple menu for its thirsty patrons. However, the Irish Pub's tasty Irish-American cuisine helped create the fully designed menu you'll find today.
